Thanksgiving just around the corner....2013 is about over. Has everyone gotten the quilty projects done that they planned for this year? I've made a New Year's resolution the last two years to finish up my pile of UFOs. I've made some progress, but making shop samples seems to take up a big share of my time. So I think my resolution for 2014 will be to work on my pile of UFOs again.
Carol has the instructions for the 2014 Block Swap ready. We've had a lot of fun with it the last two years, so we're doing it again. Current swappers will get the new instructions in December. We'd love to have more swappers for lots of fabric variety.
I've gotten some beautiful fabrics just in from Kona Bay. Come and check out Blossom, Shadow Cats, Garden of Dreams, and Falling Leaves. I've also made placemats and napkins from a new fall line that would make a great gift.
We are starting our food drive for local residents. Bring any non-perishable, unexpired food to the shop before December 13, and receive a discount on your purchase. Pick up something extra when you shop, and know that you'll be helping folks right in this neighborhood.
Here are some dates to remember. I will be closed on Sunday, November 24th. Also closed on Thursday, November 28th for Thanksgiving (and Shannon's Birthday!!) I will be open on the 29th for Black Friday with all fabric on the bolt 25% off. Saturday the 30th is Support Your Small Business Saturday and the fabric will also be 25% off.
In December we will be closed on Saturday December 14th for my annual Family Holiday Celebration. I will be closed be closed on Christmas Eve and Day, and New Years Eve. Wednesday, January 1, 2014 we will host our 8th annual New Year's Day Sew/In & Potluck. Bring in the New Year with Fabric, Friends and Food!
That's all for now,
Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone
